Sept 6-7

Alright, I'm working on a couple posts where I'm really trying to explore some serious questions about this process.  They are exhausting.

In the mean time, here is an update!

This weekend was busy and fun.

Friday night R and I went on a fun date for dinner, drinks, and a show at the Ark.  Sarah Jarosz has been a favorite for a few years now, and this was the 3rd time we've seen her perform at the Ark.  This was also the best, she just keeps getting better!

Saturday I woke up real early and got to the gym by 8:30! It feels good!  Though I crash pretty hard from the morning workouts and need to keep an eye on my feeling and emotions on early gym days.  Dessert was recommended as a solution to help with the crash, which sounds like a good plan!
In the afternoon we went to a good friend's house for some play time and bbq.  This was followed by all of the football teams losing in stunning fashion over the course of the night.

Sunday I made a cake and brownies for Hana's (and Ross's) birthday party at my moms.  I haven't made a cake in years, and though it stuck to the pan terribly, I mushed 'em all back together, and iced it with chocolate almond butter and whipped cream.  Nobody could tell.  I forgot to take a picture :(

We had a great time, even though I was having a very tired day and had to work pretty hard to stay social.
